Question about graphics card drivers.

Hello, I use nvidia 9600 GSO card and have always been using the driver right from NVIDIA. 190.53 is the version now... but i see some people are upgrading to 190.43?  am i missing something? are the repos behind in terms of nvidia cards?  This is just a question that maybe someone knew about that i was always wondering.

Re: Question about graphics card drivers.

190.53 will be soon available on mirrors. I built packages using PKGBUILDs from archlinux.org site. Because I'm kinda mad for some things wink

Re: Question about graphics card drivers.

So it would be easier to jsut run something like

sudo pacman -S nvidia-96xx

basically the same thing? just and older supported version?

Re: Question about graphics card drivers.

those drivers are the old nvidia 96.xxx version. For your card you need the most recent drivers (supplied by the nvidia package)
