How to change kernel-logo ?!?

Well I found some cmds to create a clut-224 image. But how to create the mono and vga16 image you did guys?

[phil@philstv-desktop DEV]$ pngtopnm -plain chakrafb.png > chakrafb.pnm
[phil@philstv-desktop DEV]$ ppmquant -plain 224 chakrafb.pnm > chakrafb-224.ppm
