I just finished installing the glorius Arch, although I used the wiki for a little "support" to install it, i might or might not have done it completely right.
So I boot, the screen I get is completely black, it says myhost login and password, I logged in as root, and now I just get black empty screen that says [root@myhost ] _
Is there something Im missing or forgot to do?

Anyway, it's quite normal. When you install arch, you only install a base system that you can then build on. You probably want to install X.org and a nice wm or DE.
And read the link that Allan gave you
Evil #archlinux@libera.chat channel op and general support dude.
. files on github, Screenshots, Random pics and the rest

yea i did the same thing. I finished the install and after distor hopping i was used to setting the hostname in the setup as well as users. Like the others have said, you setup a base system and build form there, adding users, setting their permissions etc., and setting your hostname.

You might want to read through the Beginner's Guide starting with updating:
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beg … ase_system
It also goes through adding new users, installing X, drivers and a DE or WM.

Don't be afraid to admit to using the wiki, I've installed Arch about 7 or 8 times now and still use the Beginners Guide as a checklist as I go through and set stuff up. It's such a wonderful resource
