Problem with laptop screen

Hi everybody
my problem is this my laptop when closing the lid the screen goes dark but to re-open the screen is totally black and no return to normality is dark and unresponsive in gnome-power-manager if I have to when closing the lid is dark but if you have to do nothing anyway same thing the screen goes dark and no longer reacts .... I forgot to pass the same with and without the AC any idea with my problem
my desktop is gnome
my kernel to the 2.6.32.2
and I have installed and configured the pm-utils and laptop-mode

I just realized that when i suspend or hibernate the laptop works well it summarizes the top of the laptop do not know if this helps in some

By "installed and configured the pm-utils", you mean that you can successfully suspend and resume from the command-line? (that is, open terminal, type

sudo pm-suspend <<your quirks here>>

and machine suspends and resumes fine? And what do you have gnome-power-manager configured to do when the screen is shut: to suspend the machine, or just to turn off the backlight?

Yes pm-utils and gnome-power-manager is installed and configured in terminal and in gnome-power-manager works fine suspend and hibernate but at close the lid im configure to turn off the backlight but when re-open the pc is freeze don't responding but if suspend or hibernat first and before resume when close the lid works fine but don't after
