Laptop Battery not showing up

I have a MSI A6000 laptop and arch fails to detect the battery. I installed apci and apcid and laptop-mode (didn't configure it). I'm pretty sure it's not hardware, as the laptop runs fine when not plugged in, and the battery was detected and setup in fedora 12

Dmesg |grep BAT1 outputs this:

ACPI Error (psparse-0537): Method parse/execution failed [\_SB_.PCI0.SBRG.EC__.BAT1._STA] (Node ffff88011f814760), AE_TIME
ACPI Error (uteval-0250): Method execution failed [\_SB_.PCI0.SBRG.EC__.BAT1._STA] (Node ffff88011f814760), AE_TIME

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Laptop Battery not showing up

you can pass the acpi=on parameter to the kernel and check also check your bios settings.
