replacing parted with kdemod-parted

so all i want to do is a pacman -Syu
but whenever i do so, while searching for inter-conflicts, pacman tells me that kdemod-parted (which is not installed on my computer) conflicts with parted and asks me to remove parted.if i say no it stops right there and refuses to continue because the two are conflicting.
if i say yes, it lists all these programs which depend on parted, and if i begin removing those programs, i begin dismantling many programs.

what can i do to make pacman either ignore kdemod-parted,
or can i replace one with the other?

This is a kdemod issue, and it's already been asked and answered here.
