Applying Two Patches

Is it possible to apply two patches to the linux kernel? I havent attempted it yet but I want to apply a kernel update patch (2.6.32.3) and the newest ck patchset (ck2).

Re: Applying Two Patches

Not if they "overlap" - then you have to manually fix the overlapping.

You probably want the pf patchset wink  I use it.

Re: Applying Two Patches

kernel26 2.6.32.3-1 is already in the core repo, and kernel26-ck 2.6.32.3-4 is available in the AUR.

If you still want to to do the patching yourself, have a look at the PKGBUILDS for those packages.

Re: Applying Two Patches

the only problem you're going to have is the EXTRAVERSION patching. you can:
- ignore it. it's dirty but harmless.
- fix the second patch you're going to apply or the kernel Makefile

I didnt even think about checking to see if it was in the aur or not, Ive been using a modified version of kernel26parallel to do my compiling.
