Is it possible that my hardware doesn't support suspention?

I first thought that it's problem with custom ck kernel, but I've remembered that suspention didn't work even when this computer had windows on.
I've also installed uswsusp (s2ram) and it didn't reckognised my hardware so I've decided not to use it. (Should I still try to make it work with force etc?)
I have AMD Athlon X2 64 bit 4400, and unfortunatley I forgot how I get the name of motherboard
(also I didn't buy nor did I build this computer I swaped my computer with my father so I have no details).

P.S.: I've installed hwd, and strangely enough it doesn't show the mainboard, but I think it's some sort of Nforce...

You can use "lshal" to see if HAL thinks your computer supports suspend. (I think you can do "lshal | grep -i power") I found out I can use hibernate, but HAL doesn't think my computer can handle suspend. I guess that's why I get a "Hibernate" option in GNOME but not a "Suspend" option.

nano -w /etc/rc.conf

Put in deamons line "@hal".
