Window effects when opening or closing a window

Hello. I want something similar to what happens on Windows Vista and 7 when you open or close a window, how it fades in and out. Is this possible and how?  Ive gone thru compiz but i cant see anything that would manage this.

I don't know which effect it is, but my windows in compiz are surely fading in/out.

Animations and fading windows effects?

You need to install compizconfig-settings-manager if you have not already done so. Open CCSM and find the Animations button under the Effects portion. Once you open the Animatons dialog, the tabbed interface at the top of the dialog will allow you to change any and all window animations. I have altered the open and close tabs to be more Vista like. I hate to admit that, but I'm not that big a fan of the cube nonsense.
