OpenShot Video Editor

Hi All. Yesterday I've installed OpenShot Video Editor from AUR. When i try to drag a movie file (x264 codec) to one of the tracks below the timeline in order to start editing the video file, the system freezes, the mouse is framing and xorg or kde (i don't know) throws such info: "Could not start kmserver. Check your installation." Can someone help?

Re: OpenShot Video Editor

the openshot devs are very active on their project, my advice is contact them through launchpad.

Re: OpenShot Video Editor

OpenShot is version 1.0, but I read a review about it and the reviewer meant, that OpenShot 1.0 is very unstable and freezes very often.

Re: OpenShot Video Editor

Hi

I did video editing for the first time and I did it with openshot. It's very stable here. The only thing that doesn't work is exporting it with libx264. So I guess it generally has some issues with x264. Nixxx, can you second the problem I have? It only creates a small file, which contains audio only. I'll test your complaint, but right now I can't, my machine's too weak ;-)
