Re: Amarok 2.2 and daap

just tried with amarok 2.2.2-1 and it worked but since kde4 this is like gambling if amarok is able to find the daap servers. you could try rhythmbox it allways finds my firefly servers wink

Re: Amarok 2.2 and daap

amarok --version says:

Amarok: 2.2.2

hmm i realy have no clue whats wrong here on an kubuntu box(amarok) and on itunes the firefly server is visible only i cant see it with amarok and no i dont want to use rhythmbox i know it might work but i dont like it couse it is always waiting for the server to update and that costs extra resources and its gtk tongue

but thnx for ur help smile

Re: Amarok 2.2 and daap

Ok i guess it was due to a problem with avahai cant test now since my server wont start sad i'll report later

edit:
Rhythmbox now finds the server but amarok still doesn't

Re: Amarok 2.2 and daap

after

pacman -S nss-mdns

and putting the line

hosts: files mdns4_minimal [NOTFOUND=return] nis dns mdns4

into /etc/nssswitch.conf
and start avahi-daemon:

/etc/rc.d/avahi-daemon start

amarok finds my firefly server!
