lm_sensors with weird readings

Sometimes temp2 shoes 50 or 60 degrees celsius straight off a cold boot. Temperatures keep on being off until a reboot (and I check hardware temps in the BIOS just to make sure).

So... Why are they off and what can I do to reflect proper readings without a reboot?

Below a sample of what appears to be okay.

Re: lm_sensors with weird readings

Coretemp has never been accurate for me. It's off by ~30c from BIOS.

Re: lm_sensors with weird readings

I think you need to go to the lm-sensors website and search for your motherboard make/model. There are often some tune-ups required to get certain sensor chip outputs correct.
