I've tried every way to downgrade to 2.6.31 from 2.6.32 and produced two veggies in the process.
I'm going to reload from cd which will bring me to 2.6.30. Once that's done can I upgrade to 2.6.31 via "pacman -S kernel26-2.6.31"?
Once I add "IgnorePkg=kernel26" to pacman.conf then I can safely do a pacman -Syu?
Thanks...:P

no you can't. we don't support multiple versions of any package.
ARM machine or an out of date mirror and download kernel + external modules that depend of kernel and install ?
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Dow … g_Packages
as an additional question, why do you want to downgrade?

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Reasons: Laptop suspend locks up, random lockups in multiple apps, lose network connection periodically and some other things that I don't remember at the moment. I had a flawless laptop until 32, can't live with the unpredictability. I been using Arch for 2 years and never experienced problems like these. I've managed to fix several problems but the suspend and lockups still persist and it's time to move on...

A good nights sleep helped me get my "arch attitude" back so I'll stick with 32 and work thru/around the bugs.
Thanks for the help...
