Do you read the big warning for [testing] users on arch-dev-public about not upgrading at the moment?

off course subscribing on arch-dev-public if you are using testing.

like a side not, are you using other package for cairo? like one from aur? if yes, rebuild it and then reinstall gtk2

Oh well. I suppose if I hadn't "broken" my system then I wouldn't have learned to check the mailing list before doing a massive upgrade. tongue I'm finally starting to not feel like an Arch noob. Now I feel like a [testing] noob.

So, it was announced on the mailing list to not upgrade to [testing] right now. Will the announcement to go ahead and upgrade be announced on the mailing list as well? smile

My guess would be this weekend...  we have done ~120 out of the ~200 packages that needed rebuild for the libpng and libjpeg update.  As always, just keep an eye on arch-dev-public...

I'm sorry but i can't see any relevant info on how to fix this problem in the news or in your first post, and i'm not using cairo built from aur as you suggested in one of your posts.

Re: Problems with upgrading - gtk2 2.18.5-1 -> 2.18.6-1

You seem to have updated via the testing repo, because gtk2-2.18.6-1 is only in the testing repo. Did you do a pacman -Syyu after removing testing from /etc/pacman.conf?

Edit: Nevermind. I forgot that my mirror's slow to update.

@goll lets debug a bit more about it.

LD_DEBUG=files gtk-query-immodules-2.0 > log 2>&1
LD_DEBUG=files gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders >> log 2>&1

post the log on pastebin.ca

@goll  It looks like pacman updated gtk2 before installing the new libwmf and librsvg packages. Just reinstall gtk2 and it should be OK.
