What to do with an interactive install?

I decided to take up one of the requests in the AUR forum, but the install required this sequence of y/n responses. I had two options, patch the install to remove that or feed a file on the standard in about the responses. I chose the lazier way, but what is the general protocol for that?

I don't know either. From everything I've installed from the AUR, only Allegro5 (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=23012) was interactive.
