Re: Arch Translations!

more languages are ok, but if you want to work with linux, you have to learn some english, too ... just to be able to guess, what some programms return

... you cannot translate everything

it's like literature: the original is the best :-)

dont missunderstand me: i'm swiss and it would be nice for me to have the possibility to have some frontends in german or french or it would be great also to have a swiss-german version (!would be cool!)... but translating everything in every language is not the primary importance for archlinux for now i think

-> but you are right in saying that we must keep something like this in mind (=what about a way to have modules for different languages for the installer in some future versions?)

Re: Arch Translations!

Hi,

at the very least the install guide

the install guide, actually, its in german and english, also in french (the 0..4 version) im translating it to spanish, and there where other translations in progress, though its taking me some time, im about to finish it, and i think in a week or so, spanish version is going to be up.

any way, its up to us, the foreign users to help a bit, at least in this way.
and although im not a devel, nor anything related, i think i can give my self the... whatever, to say that every new translation is welcome.

Re: Arch Translations!

hey! just back from small vacations...
jlvsimoes, i've just sent you the docs i've been translating. new ones are available, read the email big_smile

about the thread itself, my though for now was just to translate the installer, the others stuff comes by themselves.
hope theres a way to do this, it would be nice smile

btw dp i liked very much the idea of a somekind of a module section
