Trying to install Archmobile

I recently got a neo freerunner for christmas and I love Arch.  You can imagine how ecstatic I was when I found the archmobile distribution.  Unfortunately I have no idea what I should do to install it after I download the install script.  I've already set up Qi, I don't know how big my partitions should be on my microsd (16gb) and frankly, the wiki's install guide isn't helping much.  I don't expect a whole lot but I'd really like a more in depth way to set this up so I know exactly what I'm doing and I don't have to second guess whether or not it's right.  Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks,
--Wes

Re: Trying to install Archmobile

Hello Wesman26,

It really makes me sad somehow, that you say that our wiki doesn't help you much wink

The Installation Guide (http://www.archmobile.org/trac/wiki/AM/ … tion/Guide) links you to a Pre-Installation site, for your Freerunner: http://www.archmobile.org/trac/wiki/AM/ … stallation
Now back to the Installation Guide, as told in the end of the wikipage before. Go through it. The fastes way is to use a snapshot, see here: http://www.archmobile.org/trac/wiki/AM/ … /Snapshots
And now, as told in the end of the wikisite before, go to the post installation site: http://www.archmobile.org/trac/wiki/AM/ … stallation

have fun!

Re: Trying to install Archmobile

Thank you for your quick reply; I apologize for my insolence, sometimes I freak out when faced with unfamiliar tasks, and it probably didn't help that I was running on four hours of sleep.  The more I look at it the more straightforward the wiki is becoming, and I am only confused if I need to partition the SD card in any particular way.  I imagine I'll want an ext2 partition (since it's an SD card) but I'm wondering if I should make any swap, /var, /home, etc... or should I make just one big partition, encompassing the whole card, and let the snapshots take care of the rest?

I just make one partition, but you can do it however you want actually. Just like on your Host PC wink
