Hello all, I am having a problem with my wireless internet. I have a Netgear WG111v3 USB Wireless, and have used both ndiswrapper and the default linux driver to no avail in trying to fix my problem.
Whenever I go to a new website on my browser (Firefox, also experienced same issues in other browsers) it will take exactly 5 seconds for the webpage to be loaded up, but once I am on the site the pages all load quickly like they should. I have stuck with ndiswrapper as opposed to the default linux drivers because the internet other than the 5 second delay works better than without it.
Is there some kind of timing delay thing or power saving feature or something that I am missing or do not know about? Thank you for your time.

If it's only browsing that's affected, it's not a wireless issue. Are other protocols affected e.g. ftp, ssh, etc?
It also could be a DNS issue. Try some other DNS servers instead of your ISP's default ones.

When using firefox you can consider to use IPv4 instead of IPv6:
- In the address bar type about:config.
- There search for IPv6 and disable it.
Note that this issue is often router related.

If you can wire your machine to the router and test, it will help double check that the issue is not wireless-based - though it doesn't sound as though it is (as stated above).

Sorry, I was just coming back to say that those dhcpcd.conf entries looked okay and had you checked the FFx ipv6 as suggested.
Well done.
Change the subject of your first post to have [Solved] in it somewhere and it'll be closed.

trc - fyi, we don't close solved threads. You can mark it solved, as suggested by skanky.
