I am debating getting a new netbook (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … -_-Product) which is based on Intel's Pineview platform.
It is my understanding that the pineview platform has an integrated gpu, the GMA 3150. My question is i looked on the Intel site and didn't see any official linux drivers from this GPU. Pineview is fairly new, so i was wondering if there was an open source driver already available for it, or if there was any driver that would make it usable under arch. I have done some searching but haven't found any information as of yet. I will keep looking, but if anyone could point me in the right direction i would be much appreciated.
Thanks

xf86-video-intel 2.10.0 (and onward) supports the Pineview chips. It is available as an AUR package, or you could just hold your breath until 2.10.0 trickles down to Arch stable repositories (current stable version is 2.9.1).
