usb installer can't find source
I tried netinstaller on usb today and failed at "connection timed out". So I switched to core installer on usb. I was brought to the main menu, and entered "Select Source" -> "cd"->Dialog->" Package directory /src/core/pkg is missing". So I changed to tty2 and made that directory. Back to main menu, it jumps to step 2: set clock. It was successful. Step3: prepare hard drive: successful. Step 4: select packages: Pacman preparation failed!

How exactly did you put it on the usb drive? Did you check the md5sum?
