Mythtv with firewire cable box

I'm trying to set up a Mythtv box with Arch but there's no firewire capture card showing up.  The firewire capture card works in Mythbuntu but I just can't keep that running for more than a couple days at a time without crashing.  After reading through the Mythtv website, it looks like Mythtv needs to be built with an --enable-firewire option to work with a firewire cable box.  Has anyone done this in Arch?  Any pointers?

I've never used ABS.  Could I rebuild Mythtv with this option enabled from there?

Hi,

you could try the mythtv-svn package from AUR:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=18004
and alter line 55 in PKGBUILD to enable firewire.
I have not tried this so this is just an assumption.
