Options When Posting

Is there some way I can set my profile to auto select / tic mark the two boxes when posting:

- Never show smilies as icons for this post
- Subscribe to this topic

Whenever I create a post or reply, I find it annoying I have to always 'select' them. Is there a setting I am missing somewhere that will select both for me by default?

Disabling smilies can be done in the profile. I don't subscribe to threads, but when I go here I always check new posts since last visit, scroll down, show your posts. That is kind of like subscribing, except for that you won't get any mail.

I'm sure you could write a grease monkey script to always check the subscribe box.
