[Solved] Non-root not able to shutdown/reboot

Hi, im a bit of a newbie, im trying to build a laptop with arch to run as my car PC. With alot of help from the wikis and threads on here I have made alot of progress. Iv been testing a few different DEs and have found XFCE4 to be the what im looking for.
My first build of this DE worked apart from not remembering the changes I made to my desktop in my normal user. I then tried LXDE then KDE but these never had the right functionality for me so I started a complete reinstall.
This install has a problem where my normal user is part of the power group yet not able to shutdown, restart, hibernate or suspend. Also not able to change the setting for what happens when the laptop lid is closed.
Id be grateful for any ideas

Re: [Solved] Non-root not able to shutdown/reboot

Did you try the various options spelled out in the wiki (which I found by searching the wiki for 'shutdown')?

Re: [Solved] Non-root not able to shutdown/reboot

Originally I had (from the session manager part of XFCE website)

%users ALL = NOPASSWD:/usr/lib/libexec/xfsm-shutdown-helper

I put in

%users hostname=NOPASSWD:/usr/lib/xfce4/xfsm-shutdown-helper

Tested and now I can shutdown and restart, thanks

Im still not able to change some settings in XFCE Power Manager, such as 'When power button is pressed' and 'When laptop lid is closed'
Any thoughts?
