Well i finally did it! After owning this ibook for almost a year now, i got my OS of choice up and running on it. It took a bit of work, and lack of a wired internet meant downloading all of core onto a CD manually, but i did it and i got everything working just the way i like it.
Many thanks to whomever updated the wikipage somewhat recently. My biggest set back in my past attempts, had been the lack of an up to date wiki page (specifically the part about using mac-fdisk instead of cfdisk).
This iBook was the last system i had that was running a non-archlinux operating system (first ubuntu, then breifly Fedora). Now i have arch (or chakra) running on every system i own!
Thanks to everyone who put the effort into bringing Archlinux to the PPC!!!!
