[libjpeg/libpng] urxvt - compatibility problem (close)

Hi,

I am a newbie, so sorry if my question is very stupid...:rolleyes:

I updated my system, and from this, I can't run urxvt.

urxvt: error while loading shared libraries: libjpeg.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I tryed, and I know it's a bad solution, to make a link in /usr/lib from libjpeg.so.8 to libjpeg.so.7 and libpng14.so to libpng12.so.0 but urxvt verify the version of this libraries then I can't use urxvt.

Just for information I am working on 32 bits version of Archlinux.

I read http://www.archlinux.org/news/482/ but what I can do to urxvt work??!

Install urxvt from one of the updated mirrors. You might have the version from the archlinuxfr repo.

You are right I connected to the archlinux.fr, so I fixed my problem commenting the the mirrors from archlinux.fr in /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

Uninstall urxvt,
install rxvt-256 color, and now all is perfect !
