[SOLVED] PKGBUILDs for supported packages

Admittedly, I haven't spent as much time searching as I normally do when I have questions, but I'm in a hurry to get somewhere else, so I thought I'd see if someone can point me in the right direction.

I've noticed that the package extra/python-numpy no longer has a maintainer, and is currently out of date.  I thought when I get a chance I might try and build a package for the current version and contribute it, but I'm not sure how to start it.  My thinking was to get a copy of the PKGBUILD for the available version and modify it, but I'm dumbfounded as to where it would be.  Unlike an AUR package, the tarball downloaded when it's installed does not have the build files in it.  Where do I find it?  Or am I stuck and need to start from scratch?

Edit:
I should learn to just be patient...  found out about pbget.  Great utility-- thanks!

Hi,

Alternatively, you can also obtain PKGBUILD via http://repos.archlinux.org/.

Re: [SOLVED] PKGBUILDs for supported packages

Thanks.

I was able to get the package to compile, and it's been submitted to AUR:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=23929

First time I've submitted a package, so I hope I did it right.

And if you check again, it's been deleted, because you didn't follow the AUR Guidelines.

Full marks for contributing, but try to do it the right way. As far as getting numpy in extra updated, a dev might see this and oblige you. You could also raise it on the arch-general ML if you want.

While you can't upload the package in AUR since it exists in Official repos, however why not submit python-numpy-svn instead?
