Hi all.
I have just managed to install and setup Arch Linux, but I'm trying to get decent Arabic language support on it.
Right now, when I try to visit any Arabic content, on the web for example, I get the following result:
I've tried to ask at the IRC, and they suggested it could be a locales problem, but even after I configured the locales, still the problem persists. I think it probably still has to do with the locales, but I'm not sure.
I'm slowly beginning to lose hope, please help..
Thanks.

Hi Omar-Arch,
the problem is that the text direction is wrong and letters are disjoint, right?
I haven't done anything to enable Arabic support, but aljazeera for instance looks like the following: http://imgur.com/R3ULV.png - correct text direction and joined letters.
My locale settings are below. Could you check that your current locale uses unicode (utf8)?
$ locale -a
C
de_DE.utf8
en_US.utf8
POSIX
$ locale
LANG=en_US.utf8
LC_CTYPE="en_US.utf8"
LC_NUMERIC="en_US.utf8"
LC_TIME="en_US.utf8"
LC_COLLATE="en_US.utf8"
LC_MONETARY="en_US.utf8"
LC_MESSAGES="en_US.utf8"
LC_PAPER="en_US.utf8"
LC_NAME="en_US.utf8"
LC_ADDRESS="en_US.utf8"
LC_TELEPHONE="en_US.utf8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="en_US.utf8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.utf8"

Mh, locale looks ok. Let's try something different: Is the following headline displayed correctly? (It's rtl, but left-aligned.)
تويوتا قد تستدعي 9 ملايين سيارة
Which fonts do you have installed? I have the following and liberation is my default font.
ttf-dejavu
ttf-essays
ttf-freefont
ttf-gentium
ttf-gentium-basic
ttf-liberation
ttf-linux-libertine
ttf-ms-fonts
