Random kernel lockups during boot

I'm not sure since when exactly but my computer has had lockups during bootup
before kernel passes control to init. I think with 2.6.30 the problem was so
bad that the computer did not boot at all with having acpi enabled.

Now I can boot computer with ACPI, but I get random lockups at the same places
where I got the lockups with earlier kernels. This is annoying as I can't trust
the computer to bootup without me being next to it, and I think it has other
consequences as well (http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15210).

But as the errors do not exhibit themselves all the time, I'm having trouble
debugging it. I enabled kernel commandline 'debug' and am now waiting to see
the problem reappear so that maybe I can get more information. Are there some
more arguments that would make the debugging easier, and maybe sending
bugreport to http://bugzilla.kernel.org worthwile.

Edit: The last visible lines are a few "Found enabled HT MSI Mapping"
