Kopete (kde 4.4) fail to connect to gtalk

Hello,

since yesterday, i can't connect to gtalk with kopete.

It connect, then disconnect, then connect, ...

Any idea?

I have the same problem with Kopete 4.4.4-1.  Disconnects, then connects, then disconnects, etc..
I am only using it for gtalk right now, so I don't know if it does the same for other protocols.  I installed Pidgin and it has no problem, so I doubt it's a gtalk issue.

No issue here with gtalk and kopete on 4.4.4-1 or 4.5 beta2.... Running x64 though so who knows.

Bump. 

I'm seeing this issue as well on x64 using Kopete 4.4.4-1.  I'm also using Yahoo in Kopete and it works just fine.  Seems like something has changed in the Jabber protocol implementation?

Turns out my Kopete client at work was online and the one here at home I was having trouble with was trying to go online, appear online for 5 seconds or so and then would get logged off.  When I use the Yahoo protocol it logs off the existing client and gives preference to the new connection.  I don't know if this is handled at the server or in the client library.  if it's something controllable at the client library level that might be a decent enhancement request for the Kopete folks.

I'm having a similar issue with latest KDE. It doesn't connect, giving the message "unknown signature 795"

I tried pidgin and works fine.
