hideous Trash

Hi,

I use Kde4.

I can't stand when the OS tries to create files or folders like Thumbs.db in win or .Trash-xxxx in gnome or even in kde if you want to save the look preferences for eache folder.

I have several folders in my desktop mounted from my server. When I delete files in some of this mounted folders the .Trash-xxxx folder is created inside of them. I hate it. It's very weird becouse none of gnome packages are installed in the desktop pc. The server works with fluxbox.

Is becouse kde has the same horrible .Trash-xxxx?
Is becouse there ara some gnome package hidden in the system (in the desktop or server)?
Why it happens in some of this folders and not in others? (all folders are smb resources from the same server)

Re: hideous Trash

In my case, if I use windows or a linux shell to delete a file the trash is not created, but if I use a dolphin or konqueror to delete the same file the trash is created.

Re: hideous Trash

the trash is always created if there are write permissions in the root of the shared samba resoruce.
It's the kde trash for sure.
By the moment I don't know how to disable it, but I don't want to disable the local trash.
