Question: When a package moves from testing to current/extra

does it *ALWAYS* change rel number?
I hope not.

I mean, what's the point of re-downloading the package if it's exactly the same?

You dropped the -t beast and I'm happy with that. I'm asking because I saw python2.4.2-2 very soon and also saw it moving to current so that's why I ask here.

Re: Question: When a package moves from testing to current/extra

i think that python 2.4-2 was in testing first zeppelin,
as you say, the whole idea with skipping the 't' was that you could just move the packages to current/extra without more downloads for us that are running testing,

Yes, python 2.4-2 was in testing first.  Then it was moved directly from testing to current, with no rebuild.
