I have weird problem that has just lately started appearing.
My mouse buttons stop working completely. First they work just fine and after some random period of time, or some event I have yet to figure out they just stop responding. Mouse movement works with no problems as does keyboard. Problem disappears with X restart.
What should I do when this happens to help figure this out?
I am running KDE4 and my mouse is Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000.
Any help is appreciated.

And it seems to appear more frequently (Like right now and 15 minutes ago).
It might be something related to Firefox as that is program I am usually using when this happens.
With firefox it varies, either links are responding to mouse clicks or Firefox itself is responding (back, forward, menus). But desktop always stops responding completely.

Also, I can access firefox tabs (they are working now) even though I have Konsole window on top of them. I can't click and drag Konsole window, but clicks go 'trough' Konsole and straight to Firefox.
This seems really strange so any help is appreciated.

You're not the only one. There's no real solution yet, but you might want to track

and

Also, maybe add your weight to the bug report. I don't think we've really been noticed yet.

Thanks. Glad that I am not only one, but sad that no fix in sight.

I can reproduce the problem by pressing Shift-Numlock to turn on Mouse Keys and then pressing 0 on the keypad.
The problem seems to be Mouse Keys is setting Button 1 down and Xorg is sitting around waiting for a Button 1 up event which never happens.
Also, for some reason, Mouse Keys keeps being activated randomly, which is normally done by pressing Shift-Numlock (only I have no recollection of pressing Shift-Numlock). Nevertheless, pressing 0 and . on the num pad makes the left mouse button work again.
