You will need to describe the exact problem you are having and post any error messages.

Not sure what "can't access desktop" means, but perhaps you have been bitten by the KDE update. See this for more hep:

Hello. You'll need to give us a lot more details than this if you want us to help.
What exactly happens when you try to boot up? Any error messages or weird beeps? Do you remember what packages or things were upgraded or any other information which might be helpful?

Please use better post title than "hi all".
Please provide more details on "I cannot access my desktop".
Login into console and try starting X manually. There is a X logfile in /var. Maybe that will give you some hints.

Ok, you are right..........;) I hoped you are wizards
Since yesterday I was running kdemod 3 with graphical autologin, then I updated all packages with pacman -Syu and now autoligin doesn,t work.
I do manual login with startx, but nothing appears
So, the only errors lines I can read after startx are:
error setting MTRR Inappropriate ioctl for device (25) and
xauth: error in locking authority file /home/pluto/.Xauthority
Thanks

Please change the thread title to something more relevant. You can do this by editing your first post.

I had a simillar issue some time ago. xdm worked, but when desktop was started it silently died and gone back to xdm. I solved that by simply deleting .Xauthority file.

To determine whether this is a KDE or X issue it might be usefull to edit your .xinitrc, comment out everything except a single xterm and startx then.
btw. this seems like simillar problem.
