usb headset problem

I'm currently trying to get my usb headset to work with arch, it is detected but i can't hear anything through it.

This is usually an issue with your mixer settings. I usually use alsamixer and then hit F6 to change the selected card to that of my headset. I find that I still can't use my headset in Firefox or Chrome, though. Other apps seem to work fine once I adjust their settings.
