How do I get wmii to work on a dual head setup with xrandr? Instead of getting two separate workspaces per screen, wmii combines both screens to display a single workspace. Heres the xrandr command I used:
xrandr --output LVDS1 --auto --rotate normal --pos 0x0 --output VGA1 --auto --rotate normal --right-of LVDS1

I don't understand the question. is the above command not working to set up a dual-monitor layout? do you want seperate workspaces for each screen or one workspace spanning both screens?
I'm not terribly familiar with wmii, however I'm pretty sure that seperate workspaces for each screen is only possible using xmonad (maybe this feature exists in wmii?)

actually, maybe you should take a look at this
I think this might be a solution that will work for what you are looking for.
from what it sounds like, dual head support in wmii sucks in general.

Man thats really inconvenient, looks like I'll just have to look for another wm. I'll consider this solved anyways.

I'd suggest submitting it to the issue tracker then.
