inkscape is leaking

Has anybody noticed that inkscape is leaking memory?
Try adding and removing a figure (an ellipse for example). Each time you add a new one, it takes about 0,5 MB memory more.

I know inkscape uses Boehm GC, but it seems to never decrease memory usage. I managed to cause oom with inkscape!

Any ideas?

is this an AL specific bug?
to find out try the inkscape list first
