Weird font rendering

Hi there,

some fonts (e.g. DejaVu Sans Extralight or the default LaTeX font) render very, very ugly. See http://ubuntu-pics.de/bild/43222/shot_dTzHgC.png and http://ubuntu-pics.de/bild/43223/shot_7Nekzl.png.

I have subpixel rendering (rgb) and antialiasing switched on on a LCD monitor (notebook). How do I get those fonts render correctly?

Check your DPI against a machine that looks good to you.

xdpyinfo | grep resolution

Is this the currently used value or the value I should prefer with my display? (I got 98x96 dpi)
