anyone no anything about cairo-compmgr problems??

i cant get xcompmgr to work, so having a look at cairo-compmgr. used yaourt to build from aur, and it starts up ok. but if i right click on its icon in the tray, and selct preferences, nothing happens and terminal kicks out a few errors,
