Shared clipboard between Xorg and terminal

I'm using rxvt_unicode as terminal. I want to be able to copy a selection in the terminal and paste it to any Xorg app, such as a browser or an IM client. Copying and pasting internally in the terminal works (with middle clicks), and ctrl-x and ctrl-v between Xorg apps works. But I can't find a way to paste stuff between them.

Any suggestions?

Re: Shared clipboard between Xorg and terminal

Try selecting the text, then <SHIFT>+Ins into the x app.

Clipboard stuff is a bit messy, there are threads that cover it - one recent one in this forum was an uzbl one that gave a great description.
