Try reinstalling perl-libww and/or perl-xyne-arch.

Ahh, thanks. Had already tried re-installing perl-xyne-arch, never thought that perl-libwww wouln't be listed as a dependency for that package. Installed a perl-libwww and it is all perfect.

It IS a dependency. You probably got something corrupted (mistaken rm or something like that) which got fixed on reinstalling perl-libwww.
