Problem picking up raid partitions since last kernel update

Hi all,

Since the last kernel update I now get this error when booting:

Error: Wrong # of devices in RAID set "nvidia_gaijceda" [1/2]...

and

Unable to determine major/minor number of root device.

I can then get it to boot from the recovery shell by running "dmraid -ay" and then letting the boot process continue. My mkinitcpio.conf has:

MODULES="dm_mod sata_nv"
HOOKS="base udev autodetect sata dmraid usbinput keymap lvm2 filesystems"

I've search for any previous messages about this and not found much. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Re: Problem picking up raid partitions since last kernel update

Hi all,

Unfortunately the problem still persists and I've found nothing that helps on the wiki or the internet. Has anyone ever come across this before? I'm really struggling to fix it and I'm now at a complete loss. I can provide more information if you think it would be useful.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Problem picking up raid partitions since last kernel update

This is a known problem http://bugs.archlinux.org/task/18348 downgrading dmraid to version 1.0.0.rc16-1 works but flashes up an error on boot up that seems harmless.
