Hello. I have some movies recorded with MythTV. I would like to edit those so they start when the movie really starts. I have found that $mplayer -edlout can be a tool to use together with mencoder. What I dont find is how to skip from the beginning to the startingpoint of the movie. I dont understand what's in the edl-file. It seems like it starts from a higher value than 0. This is a edl-file where I tried to skip (pressing i) when MPlayer started playing:
58247.445312 58261.042969 0
How can I find the actual start of the file so I can edit the edl-file correctly?

OK. No one. Doesn't matter. I've found out that MythTV can do this editing, or could do if I'm able to understand how to use it. I'm getting "exiting status 255" error and I don't understand whats missing in my setup of Myth. I tried to change value of default transcoding to High Quality without success. So anyone knowning about this. What's causing error 255?
