Hello!
After having some problems with my sound setup the other day (http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=91908) I have yet another "problem".
I have my PS3 connected to my sound card (Creative X-Fi Titanium) via SPDIF but I can't get it to use all of my speakers, it just uses the front speakers.
Naturally I'd like it to use all speakers, even if it only upmixes stereo.
Is it actually possible to do what I want to do and if so, how?

bump.
I've spent hours looking through the net but all I could ever find is about digital output ![]()

final bump of desperation.

SPDIF has only bandwidth for 2 channel pcm. If you want more channels, you would need to convert whatever audio you have to either AC3 or DTS.

Thanks for your reply!
I expected as much but I am rather clueless in general when it comes to sound stuff.
Is it possible to convert it via ALSA and output it directly through my speakers (which are connected via jack plugs) or would I need to output it to an external receiver?
