I find this feature very useful in various forums that I use. Have you considered doing it here?

I second that (although you can also use "new posts since last visit" if you visit everyday)

imagine you plan to go to look for something in google and then you plan to go to the forum. If google points you to a page of the arch forum, later, when you go back to the forum there are no new posts sin your last visit, because your visit has been jast 10 minutes ago.

Well, thanks to some bugginess somewhere that isn't the case for me, and as long as I keep the browser open or something I get the same result for the view new posts search, so I don't really need the view newest 20 post feature. ;-)
