Re: March 2010 Screenshots

cf8, simongmzlj and lolilolicon :

After some more testing, I think I could really use a good stab in the face.
I updated the patch again to avoid mouse move/resize bug in monocle mode (it was fixed in other modes).

Considering the gaplessgrid patch and the double space, well, my patch may not be perfect and could use some improvements. Don't hesitate to propose your patches via the hg repo.
Combining "gapless grid" and "useless gap" seems a bit odd though ;-)

Have fun with dwm kids !

Actually, thats a more clever/better way of fixing the resize bug than creating a second resize function. Good work! I'll take the liberty of uploading a tweaked version along side of it that doesn't double spacing between windows as a separate versions as it seams only to work when the arranger will completely cover the desktop with windows.

EDIT: Here's my improved version. Since I personally like having gaps in monocle, I added it as a configurable field to Layout so you an set it to how you'd like it. This version doesn't double gaps either.

box-look.org is usually a good place to look, but it seems to down right now. I personally like anything created by lyrae. My favorites probably royalty.

I have to think about things like xdefaults to go with the grey colour scheme... any suggestions welcome, but I'm thinking a lot of turquoise and marine tones might work?

Ratpoison is great for netbooks.  Fullscreen is needed pratically all the time

meh, I should have that stab too; roll

Anyway, you still need to update your patch once again:
Change this:

+    if(c->isfloating) {    globalborder = 0 ; }

to this:

+    if(!selmon->lt[selmon->sellt]->arrange || c->isfloating) {    globalborder = 0 ; }

So you get the mouse actions work in the floating layout(arranger is NULL), since in that layout you don't necessarily get c->isfloating when you mouse-{resize,move} the window c.
(And your nesting else's look weird...)

@simon, I think it's essentially the same with adding a second resize(), and a second resize() should be faster than this since it uses less if's and else's... I guess tongue

Re: March 2010 Screenshots

Shiki Pitch Black GTK theme, elementary icon theme, and a customized Fluxbox theme, all tied together by a rather generic wallpaper:

Can you post a link to the firstline patch for screen 4.0.3? Can't find it anywhere. Thanks.

For anyone interested, I've created an AUR package for the hardstatus firstline patch here:

http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=35402

It's basically patches ripped from debian plus the hardstatusfirstline patch posted here: http://bugs.debian.org/512342

Yes, I used to use KDE 4, but it was using up too much resources, so I opted for something more lightweight.

Re: March 2010 Screenshots

Just tried Arch Linux for the first time a few days ago.

tM3RqbA

WM: Openbox
GTK Theme: Dyne by lyrae (a.k.a. thrynk)
Icon Theme: ALLGREY by aMADme
Wallpaper: Lighthouse

File Manager: Thunar
Image Viewer: Mirage
Web Browser: Firefox (unbranded)
Terminal: Xfce Terminal

The Openbox theme is something I ended up with on my own after messing around with the the Dyne openbox theme.

This is just after a day of tinkering, I still plan to install tint2, conky, and maybe wbar.
