Hey!
Im having trouble connecting to WPA encrypted routers with Wicd. Is this a known problem? i tried google it and make new templates, that didnt work.
Sometimes i get "bad password" and sometimes it just doesnt connect.
No problem connecting to open networks...

I use wicd and can connect to my WPA network without any problems. Now that I think about it, I don't think WPA functionality required any additional configuration to begin with. Maybe try reinstalling wicd and then restarting the hal(or dbus) and wicd daemons? the wicd wiki might help.

Likewise, I can connect to my WPA encrypted router without a problem. Make sure your putting in your password as WPA 1/2.
