Hello!
First of all the sound card still works fine in windows.
I've been running Arch 64-bit for awhile with ALSA and it was working perfecltly fine. Though earlier today I tried to install bin32-wine and also did a system update. When I reboot my sound output would just be static, the volumes would go up and down like the song normally would but it would though, but there was no real audio.
I tried running alsaconf again to try fix any configuration issues I may have had, though that didnt change anything. I tried stopping the ALSA daemon and yet the audio still played with the static while the daemon was stopped. I then removed alsa completely and it still played the static. I tried muting the soundcard in alsamixer and there was still the static sound whenever I tried playing audio. So I'm guessing that when I installed bin32-wine it may have installed some new sound system onto my PC which is what is outputting the incorrect sound atm.
Is there a way to figure out how my system is outputting the audio? Or is there another way I can fix this problem?
thanks
