[Solved] How do I make evince the default pdf app?

I 'm using GNOME and I have evince istalled to read pdfs, but when I click on a pdf, GIMP opens the file. How can I change the settings so that evince is the default application?

i haven't used gnome for a long time, but don't you just right click on a pdf file and click "open with" (or something to that effect) and pick your program of choice?

Thanks, the links helped. I right clicked on a pdf and then clicked on properties, open with, and set evince to my document viewer.

Actually you have to modify "NoDisplay" to "false" in /usr/share/applications/evince.desktop to have evince as an open with option.
