Ok so i've been reading up on virtualbox... but i am confused on a few things,
1. can you run itunes in windows 7 in a virtualbox. i've seen people do it in xp... but not 7? any success stories?
2. what is the difference between the virtualbox_bin packages in the aur? which should i use?
i am running virtualbox_bin 3.1.4-3 in arch 64.

I used itunes in windows 7 via virtual box. I was investigating it so that I could switch my daughter to Linux. It actually worked great. I also used it to upgrade my garmin maps. There's something kinda satisfying reducing Windows to an app running on linux.
I've used the free RC version of windows7 and the copy that I was forced to buy when I bought my Lenovo Thinkcenter. They both worked the same.
You'll want to use virtualbox_bin for the USB support. And watch the USB settings in the virtual machine - I think I had to un-check USB2 for it to work.
Arch 64, by the way, and whatever the version of Virtualbox was about 2 or three months ago.
Don't break the silence unless you can improve upon it.

1. iTunes in windows 7 works and runs ok*. I'm running iTunes 9.02 with win7 pro in virtualbox.
2. I don't know... I'm using the virtualbox-sun package for arch32.
* This statement is true for versions of iTunes < 9.03... see http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jsp … 1&tstart=1 for details.
I kept mine working by simply not updating to 9.03, though from what I've read downgrading to an earlier version is possible and is the suggested solution at the moment.

@doorknob60 - nice, how much of the setup outlined in that blog you posted are accomplished with pacman/AUR?
CPU-optimized Linux-ck packages @ Repo-ck • AUR packages • Zsh and other configs

if not, can you give the instraction how to do it in arch?
