HAL problem

I am a newbie to Arch Linux. I am having some difficulties with HAL. I cannot get it to mount cd's audio or data, or external drives. My user account is part of the optical and storage groups but e17 gives me the message "Access Denied". I think it might be trying to mount to a non-existent directory in /media but this is only a guess. As for my configuration, up to date Arch Linux running e17. Thank you.

I assume that you've already tried this? If not, it might be worth a try.

Re: HAL problem

I have just recently solved a similar issue myself. This is how I did it:

Hope that helps. You will have to restart HAL after making the changes, of course. smile
